President's Day Venn Diagram
After reading about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, we compared and contrasted the two presidents. The students each recorded a fact about a president and it was added to the giant President's Day Venn Diagram on the wall.
penguin blubber
In our Penguin Blubber project we had three points of view: the penguin, the scientist, and the doctor. The penguin had his hands in freezing ice water. One hand was in "blubber" and the other unprotected. The doctor measured the temperature of the hands after 2 and 5 minutes to see if the "blubber" was indeed the warmer hand. The scientist recoded the information given by the doctor.

3D Shapes
This week we have been learning about 3 dimensional shapes. We took to the outside and drew what we knew!
Snow Make Up Day
Originally, we were out of school for President's Day, Monday, Feb. 21, 2011. We all enjoyed the snow day last week, but unfortunately, we now have to make up the school day we missed! Instead of being out on Monday, February 21, we will now have school! See you then!
